These type of “singles” releases are for non-fans, who are too lazy or mindless to actual sit down and listen to studio albums and pick out which songs they personally like, as opposed to being told by suits and ties in L.A. or London that these are the songs they have to like because they’re hand-picked by the record label as “the best”. Any fan of Judas Priest will already have these tracks; only thoughtless sheep would actually need this.

When looking at the track listing for this you can see just how out of touch the record company was at picking singles. Some pretty odd choices. I’m almost certain “Parental Guidance” was a single in both UK and US that’s not on here. “(Take These) Chains” was a bad choice over much better songs on SFV. “Don’t Go” for the 1st single from POE was lame instead of “Heading Out To The Highway” that’s also missing here. Make it 2 discs w/ the B sides and maybe it’d be better. But then again probably not.

This is amazing. Probably the greatest JP album ever!

This is not the complete singles collection box set.
There are a total of 20 discs singles with a total of 52 tracks including the b-side tracks.
You only ripped the actual single only and not even all of them since there are 20 and not 19.

BAAAAHHH! Axelinger, the music business is all about the suits. Ask Judas Priest, on tour with ticket prices approaching US$100 with fees. I only wanted Breakin’ The Law and Another Thing Comin’ (maxi-single if I add Midnight). Fans don’t buy this. They sit home and complain about it. I do it too, only regarding Kinks and Who releases.

They called quits, but no. They want more! Juda$$$ Prie$$$t.

my bad….2 ppl

This complaining is nothing against NAR !!
IMHO it’s just the statement of ppl who have to say something about JP’s music and about the relevancy of this crapy collection released just to get more money…
Well, would like to believe it’s the “ties&suits” action.
But looking to Priest’s career after the reunion, Im afraid the band wont complain to get some more money from this at all

it is not the music, the box is a great fan gadget!

Interesting that they’d skip over the ‘Ram It Down’ album. Even on the so called complete UK singles box set. And by the way, Thank you.

What a great way to get into the band if you have not listened to that much of their stuff .

OK,guys. This is what is called a “SAMPLER” for the box set. Since I have the albums to begin with,I don’t need this one.

A lot of times as well, labels are only have the rights to include certain tracks from the band’s catalog, say one album in the band’s career was released on a different label than said label putting out the so called “Best Of” compilation. Another reason why many of these crappy singles collections are never 100% complete. I feel however that by now most real fans of artists do actually realize this. However some music listeners are indeed pretty dumb and or lazy and only care about the single they heard on the radio. I personally feel many of the greatest songs are usually the deep cuts / album tracks or even B-sides. Sadly this “Album” mentality is becoming a thing of the past. The one major downside to finding music via the internets rather than going into a record store and buying an actual physical LP. Which many people today just do not do anymore.

@Axelinger i downloaded it because i never heard any songs of them, so then it’s useful instdead of the complete album list

There’s a lot of people in the world which, until yesterday, did not know Judas at all, I think that for a non fan, buy 40Years of a band music, sit down and linsten with attention to it can be a little tricky.
Ok al the Record Company Lobby crap ecc ecc, I can agree to Axelinger if he talking about stupid bands which after 3 crappy albums put a best of on the market to fill the pokets. But talking about Judas Priest I think that a single album like this give to the new potentially fan a taste of J.P. music, and if they are interested, tomorow they will go to the Music Shop and buy Rocka Rolla, the next day Sad Wing of Destiny and so on.
Is undeniable that songs like Painkiller or Braking The Love have made the History of J.P.

no guys, u got it all wrong…yes AXESLSINGER, some posers are too lazy to do the real work so they go get THE footnotes like this…but many maiden, priest, sabbath, etc. best of cd’s are just really great for parties when u just wanna kick it and rock out without stopping the flow and switching 9 different cd’s if u don’t have a carousel. jus my humble opinion. peace, and always…LONG LIVE THE PRIEST!!!!!!
