Thanks for the upload.
HEY LOOK!! Another way to cash in!!
The premise: Let’s have musicians and artists choose songs for a ‘new’ collection.
How much more freakin’ lame can it get? I know, Let’s wait 6 months and have more musicians pick more songs and we’ll call vol 2.

Dude – these tracks were picked out by fellow musicians… feel free to google for more information before you drag your soapbox out to gripe. Remember, a mind is a terrible thing to waste.

@Butch
Oh yeah, metal has always been all about earning money. If you really wanna make big cash metal is totally the way to go.

Shut the fuck up it’s JUDAS PRIEST for fuck sake one of the greatest bands ever!!!!!!!!

I don’t care if Christ himself picked these songs.
With the exception of “Rapid Fire” every song on here is on “The Essential Judas Priest” from 2006 (5 years ago) which was then re-released again in 2008 (3 years ago).
Also, every song on here was also on the “Metalogy” collection from 2004 (7 years ago).
What’s the point of this collection except to cash in? It doesn’t get more desperate or lame than this!!

Hey Butch – guess what?! YOU DON’T HAVE TO DOWNLOAD IT.

I have to agree with Butch on this one. Honestly, what is the point of this album? And whether we download it or not isn’t the issue being discussed here.

What’s the point of any greatest hits?

Any Judas Priest fan undoubtedly already has all these tracks. Such releases are aimed at the casual listener, who isn’t really a “fan”, but listens to what the suits and ties at the record company and radio programmers tell them is “the best”. Greatest hits packages are for the mindless, who are too stupid, or lazy (or both) to actually sit down and listen to an artist’s catalog to determine for themself what they actually like. It’s a great release……… if you’re a sheep.

Or – perhaps – needing an “intro” record before deciding if they want to make the full investment.
